The Erie Society for Genealogical Research has scheduled the Fall Workshop on “Beginning Genealogy”. The workshop will be held at the Erie County Historical Society located at 417 State Street in Erie on Saturday, October 25, 2003. The time of the workshop will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The workshop is limited to 25 persons only. Cost is $20.00 which includes one-year membership to the Society and a beginner’s packet.

Topics to be covered will include: (1) Introduction to Genealogy, (2) Genealogy Forms & Notebook Systems, (3) Internet Research, (4) Federal Census Research, (5) Newspapers & Cemetery Research, and (6) Oral History.
