IN 2007
WHAT: 2007 ESGR GENEALOGICAL CONFERENCE
Sponsored by the Erie Society for Genealogical Research, to celebrate our
35th Anniversary, serving Erie County. Co-sponsored by the Erie County
(Blasco) Public Library, and the Erie County Historical Society.
WHERE: To be held at the H. O. Hirt Auditorium,
Raymond M. Blasco MD Memorial
Library, 160 East Front Street, Erie, Pa.
WHEN: On Saturday, June 9, Registration - 8:00 am
to 9:00 am.,
Conference - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

MR. JAMES M. BEIDLER
A member of the PA State Historic Records
Advisory Board since 2000, and Executive Director of the Genealogical Society
of PA from 1999 to 2003, Beidler is now a Commonwealth Speaker for the
Pennsylvania Humanities Council. He has also authored many articles and books
about Pennsylvania and German genealogy.

MR. RICHARD (DICK) EASTMAN
Along with a growing
curiosity about his roots, an early interest in ham radio awakened Dick's
penchant for all things electronic, and he was ready for computers almost
before they were ready for him. For the last 9-plus years, Dick has pursued his
mission through an online periodical he writes weekly, simply called "Eastman's
Online Genealogy Newsletter". |

architect of the Intel 8086, predecessor of today's Pentium processor, Steve
has focused much of his energies in recent years on genealogical endeavors.
Most of the 15,000 people who visit his website daily do so for his well-known
Ellis Island tools. More and more people are discovering his other
gems, including one-step search forms for census
records and the SSDI, and converters for 1920/1930 enumeration districts and
the Jewish calendar. |
